TTC & old wives tales
My sister calls me and tells me that her friend got pregnant by eating sweet potatoes
my grandmother told me that she got pregnant doing it in the shower 
anyone else hearing wacky old-wives tales about how to get pregnant
I hope no one takes offense to this post, because I swear come January, I will eat a sweet potato with every meal lol

I have actually heard that sweet potatoes can increase your chances of conceiving twins!!!

Someone told me if an infant pees on you, you have to rub some on DH and you'll be the next to get pregnant.
Well, my nephew peed on me. I didn't rub it on DH on purpose but maybe got some on him when I hugged him that night. Two weeks later I got my BFP!

Just an FYI, but sweet potatoes (at least the ones typically sold here) don't do much for fertility. There's a species of yam found in Africa that accounts for a lot of the traditional W. African diet. This group also has the highest incidence of multiple births in the world. So some people think that yams = twins.
Just a lil bit of trivia.

hmm I think during the time I was ovulating I ate sweet potatoes...I got a BFP...maybe it's true..try it... I go to the dr on nov 11...if it's twins ill pass out!!! lol

ok seriously!! I just laughed out loud at work! You are hysterical!!
I may go home and find the nearest infant to pee on me and then eat sweet potatoes!
I wish I heard funny stuff...people just keep telling me to keep my legs up, which is starting to disturb me a bit! haha

lol thats kind of who my grandmother is lol- I know lots of stuff that a grandkid shouldnt- she has no boundaries- lucky for her, I get a kick out of it

we are not officially starting till january- but what the heck lol
