trying not to freak out
Has anyone ever been told at a sono that the head was measuring smaller than the body? I was told this at my 31 week appt ... there was one measurement in particular that was way way off. I have to go back in two weeks for a recheck.
How reliable are these?

Re: trying not to freak out
I know the growth sonos they do to estimate weight are usually off by about 1 pound. I wouldn't worry about it unless they tell something is wrong for sure.

Those measurements are usually off, but I am not sure about the body to head ratio.
I know that 2 weeks ago they measured my baby at 6.5 lbs, and then last week she only measured 5.5 lbs, so I know they are def off...

DS "lost" over 2 lbs from his sono in the evening until DW's water breaking, and him being born about 6 hours after the sono....

Re: trying not to freak out
I'm pretty sure I remember being told at one of the sonos that DS's head was not big, but his belly was bigger. I asked if that was ok, and the technician said, "Uh yes, you'd rather push a big squishy belly out than a big hard head."
I am sure you and baby are ok, they would have made a big deal if something was wrong. Ssonos aren't always accurate.
