Travelling and delayed ovulation?
I was just visiting another time zone and I'm having a really hard time determining whether I o'd or not. I do have a biphasic chart, but I think it was just because it was warmer where I was visiting. I'm either 8dpo, or I haven't even o'd yet Anyone have a delayed ovulation due to travelling? I'm also taking vitex this month, so I wonder if that's what's delayed my O? I'm on CD24, and I usually O around CD18.
Here's My chart

thanks I have it at home too - I'll have to look it up. I remember her saying something about a friend of hers travelling abroad and not getting her period for the entire time she was there - like 9 months or something. And then just resuming ovulation, without skipping a beat when she returned home. But I don't remember the specifics of the rest of what she says.

Re: Travelling and delayed ovulation?
This is what FF says about travel:
If you travel within your own time zone, just keep on taking your temperature at the same time. You may notice a slight fluctuation if the climate is warmer/colder but this should not have a huge impact on your chart. Make a note in the notes section that you were traveling so you can explain unusual temperature patterns. If you are traveling to a different time zone, the disturbance is usually only limited to the day of travel and the day after. Keep taking your temperature as before, using the same time in the local time. We recommend not adjusting any temperatures, but again, make a note of the circumstances. Unless you are traveling right around the time of ovulation, you should still be able to discern your pattern. When BBT is less reliable because of such a special circumstance, pay extra close attention to your other fertility signs to avoid missing a potential fertile opportunity.

Were you not using OPKs while traveling?

Re: Travelling and delayed ovulation?
Luckily I did follow what FF says to do. But I just think the outside temperature was warmer on the whole. My 'post-O' temps just don't seem high enough and I had gobs of EWCM around CD19 - like the only other time I had that much was the cycle we conceived. Unfortunately, DH wasn't with me on this trip so we weren't able to take advantage. I'm still having some EWCM and I'm back now, so maybe I haven't o'd yet and we can take advantage tonight.... Either way it doesn't really matter, I had totally written this cycle off because I knew we wouldn't be together around O time - that we would just have to go for it before I left and hope I o'd within a few days.

Were you not using OPKs while traveling?
I did one one evening while I was away, but really, I just didn't see the point - if I got a while I was away there wasn't anything we could do about it because DH wasn't with me. And I ran out...
This was my second month using the OPKs and I'm really not sure I like them to be honest. They just confuse me more!

Re: Travelling and delayed ovulation?
Were they all negative?
So you temp and use the OPKs? Anything else you use?

they were negative from about CD10 until CD15. According to my temps, it looks like I o'd on CD16 - but the OPK was negative on CD15, which is one reason why I don't think the temps are accurate. I also did one on CD19, which was when I had the flood of EWCM, but it was negative then too. The month we conceived, I had tons of EWCM on CD16, but didn't actually ovulate (according to temps) until CD18 - so I could've been testing too early on the day I had lots of EWCM this cycle, but it was my last test and I didn't get any more.
As well as temping and OPKs I try to track CM and a bit of CP - but in general I don't have a lot of CM (although it seems to be getting better especially this month, which I think might be down to the vitex) so it makes it hard to determine when O is approaching. I'm basically crap at judging my CP!
