Re: traveling with infant any tips?
We flew with Christopher when he was 8 months old. It was perfectly fine. We were cruising, but had we rented a car, I would have gate checked the infant seat with the stroller.
We just mainly fed him a bottle on take off and landing and let him look around, he actually fell asleep on the flight to Florida, and I cannot remember what he did coming home, so it must not have been bad
Since you are going to Florida, I'd just take what you need for that day in regards to formula/diapers/baby food and buy what you need once you get there, keeps the bulk aspect down.
Besides that I think DD would like Busch Gardens, they are so observant at that age that it would be fun!!
Hope you have fun!!

Re: traveling with infant any tips?
We went to Disney when Rylan was 7 months. It was really so much easier than I thought it would be. We gate checked his travel system which was great and the plain ride was a breeze. He didn't cry once.
I planned on buying everything down there but had extra room so I ended up bring diapers, wipes and formula.
I think she'll LOVE Busch Gardens. Animal Kingdom was Rylan favorite part of the trip!!
Have fun!!!!

Re: traveling with infant any tips?
I agree with everything Kate and Dawn wrote. We travelled to Florida twice with Landon.... first we flew to Ft. Lauderdale and drove to Key West when he was ~5 months old... then we went to Disney World when he was ~6 months old. We gate checked the stroller and infant seat both times, since we rented cars. Gave him a bottle during take-off and landing to help with ear pressure. It really was a breeze. The worst part was going through security --- the stroller had to be folded up and put through the machine as wel as the infant seat, so we had to wake him up, remove all of our jackets and shoes, put all the stuff through, have his "liquids" examined and then scramble to get everything back how it was.

Re: traveling with infant any tips?
We are going to orlando with our 9.5 month old in a couple of weeks. She is getting too big for the infant seat, so we are bringing the convertable car seat - i bought a bag for it with wheels and that you can carry as a backback at BRU ($30)
I guess we are going to travel with the stroller and check that at the gate.
Tine73 told me that what she did when she traveled was fold down both the tables between her and her husband and DD slept on them!
