Trapped gas
I'm having such horrible gas pains. Yesterday the gas cramps were so bad I couldn't move and had to breathe through them.i am 99.9% positive it is gas because when I fart or poop, I get relief (temporary, at least). I took gas x last night and it helped. Today, I took two gas x, and only now am getting that pain again. But everytime I eat, I have an immediate reaction. I have ibs and I'm used to bad stomach aches... And I'm pretty sure this is bc the baby or uterus or whatever is now pushing up on something. What else can I do?!?! I have a dr appt on thursday, so I'll ask then. But in the meantime? If it helps- II had a bagel, pea soup, and jerk chicken today (not spicy).

I'm so way behind you but I get this all the time, even before preggo. Massaging my sides a little helps to move it along. It's so painful! I totally feel your pain.

Re: Trapped gas
Thanks Jess. That would have helped before, but with this bump n baby, there's nothing to be massaged but muscle that's stretched thin lol.
What else u got ;)

Haha! Honestly, have you tried "burping" like you would the baby? Have DH pat your back in an upward motion (if it's stuck high enough). Maybe increase your intake of veggies like broccoli - sometimes the production of more gas gets it moving for me.

Re: Trapped gas
Laying on my sides helps when I am having the same problem. I switch sides every few mins and try to arch my back to stretch and get it moving. I hope you feel better!

Re: Trapped gas
I always have this but its much worse when I'm pregnant. I get really bad chest pains. I drink milk (how weird - milk makes me burp more than any carbonated beverage) and my husband literally burps me. And its usually a tiny burp that makes me feel better.

Trapped gas
Michelle check with your RE to see I'd you can take Mylecon. It's the only thing that helped me!

Trapped gas
I have this problem where the gas is just stuck and hurts. I found that if you go on a bed on all fours and stick just your head down, it helps the flow of gas get out...
