Transition to milk question
My twins will be one on sat and we have been slowly transitioning them to milk this week. They have done great!
My question is do you still give them milk at the times you used to give them bottles of formula? or do you just give them milk with meals?
I am thinking of biting the bullet and getting rid of the bottles right away and just trying to figure a few things out!
thanks!

Re: Transition to milk question
By that Time she was down to 3 bottles a day so I switched to sippys of milk at the bottle times. Morning afternoon and night. Then she refused the night one so we were doing 2. Then a few months later she was waking and not eating well so I moves her afternoon one to an hour before bed. So far so good for a while now. She now gets 2 10 oz sippys a day. Sometimes more sometimes less. I try to stick around the rec of 20-24 oz.
I would def transition them now. It may take a while. Dd was very easy. It took a few weeks but she got it.

Re: Transition to milk question
While I was transitioning to milk I was also transitioning to straw cups from the bottles. DS was talking 3 bottles a day. I started with the afternoon bottle and gave it to him after he ate about 1/2 his lunch. after a few days I got rid of the morning bottle and started giving him the milk cup soon after waking up. Once DS was on full milk I tried giving it to him in the bottle, and he started to refuse it. so after a couple of nights of him taking FOREVER to drink his last bottle, I gave it to him in a cup at dinner (after he ate a decent amount) kept his bedtime routine somewhat the same, had to rock him a little so he was drousy when I put him in his crib (he used to fall asleep on the bottle) and he took to it right away !!! I was shocked !!!
so - IMO - get try to do it all at once.
Good Luck !!

Re: Transition to milk question
Thanks! As soon as they are feeling better No more bottle.
I will try the sippys/straw cups during their current bottle times and take it from there.
Thanks for your input
