Toyota Lease Return
DH returned his Venza at the end of Nov. He dropped it off at a Toyota dealer. He had called prior to returning to do an inspection (which we always did with other lease returns) and was told Toyota doesn't do inspections.
Fast forward to 12/24 and the mailman shows up with a letter from Toyota that must be signed for. DH refused the letter and the mailman didn't leave it.
Anyone have any idea what the "letter" was? Does Toyota send a bill at the end of the lease? The car was way under in mileage but did have a few scratches. Wondering if they are sending us a bill?
Anyone have any experience with Toyota and this situation?

Some car dealers do expect a final payment. Check your lease aggreement

Why did your DH refuse the letter? If he accepted it you'd know what they wanted.

Most leases include a disposition fee at the end of the lease. They say it covers the cost of the dealer having to resell the car. Dealerships will waive it usually if you lease another car from them.

Check your lease agreement. Toyota charges $400 unless you lease/buy another Toyota.

I agree should have just accepted the letter...even if its a bill you are still responsble

I agree but for some reason DH thought he wouldn't be responsible if he didn't sign for the letter 
We did check the lease agreement and there is nothing about any fee for returning the car. I'm sure Toyota will attempt to contact us, especially if they are trying to get more $$ from us.
