 Ideal Town
If you could afford a home in any town on LI, which would you pick? Why?

 Re: Ideal Town
That's a tough one honestly. I feel like there are really so many great areas on LI. I would like to be somewhere close to friends/family.
Ideally --- living in a SICK house on the water somewhere would be the ideal for me. OR --- a beautiful house on lots of land....so pretty much either North Shore or South Shore.

 Re: Ideal Town
North of 25a in Western Suffolk - Eastern Nassau - I would love a home on the water in Lloyd's Neck, Halesite, Cold Spring Harbor, Huntingtion Bay, or Centerport...I'm not picky - any of those towns will do.

 Re: Ideal Town
I love where I am now, but wouldn't mind being on the water I would chose Cold Spring Harbor, my next door neighbor, for its shcool district!

 Re: Ideal Town
Lloyd Neck/Lloyd Harbor, Cold Spring Harbor, Laurel Hollow...as long as it's close to Huntington Village.
ETA: I love Centre Island, but it's just so darn far away from everything.

 Re: Ideal Town
If I had a ton of money...I would love to live in Brookville or Lattingtown...OMG..my jaw drops at some of the homes I've seen!! But I would also be happy buying a house here in Lindenhurst, by the water, I love the neighborhood and the closeness to my family in nassau and its not too bad of a commute to queens.

I grew up in Kings Park and would love to live in that someday. My ideal town would be Fort Salonga right near the beach.
