Tough choice..
So my current RE said that I can try another cycle but since I have had NO response to stimming in either cycle, he is not to optimistic and neither am I. So I can either go for a second opinion or move on to donor eggs. If I go for a second opinion I am not sure how much time that is going to waste if in reality there is nothing else they can do for me. (I have VERY high FSH, dx with diminished ovarian reserve, POF, hasimoto's and I have a translocation) We have been TTC for almost 3 years, and I will be 34 in August. I had two early m/c when we first started TTC one at 5 weeks and one at 8 weeks. It has been almost 2 years since my second m/c. I don't know what to do

Re: Tough choice..
Wow. This is a tough one to weigh in on. If money isn't an issue, I would probably seek a second opinion. Have copies of all your tests and records forwarded to the new RE for review and see what he/she says. That will save you some time by skipping re-running tests hopefully.
I don't want you thinking "whatif", especially since you have gotten pregnant twice. There might just be a few more good eggs in there somewhere.
Best of luck to you.

Re: Tough choice..
IMO, your FSH is so high that combined with your other issues (which are most likely the reasons for your M/C's) - I would go straight to DE. There would be no more wasted time and $$$. Some clinics allow you to pick from a pool where you can match to a person who fits your profile almost exactly. Once that baby is growing inside you, it will be yours no matter where the egg came from. And you pretty much have a guarantee of success with DE.
Good luck!!!

Re: Tough choice..
I would get another opinion. It is only an appointment. I would just want to hear what someone else has to say before moving on.
So sorry you are going through this.

I agree with this too. If I was in this spot, I would consider donor egg. Good luck with whatever you decide. It's a very personal decision.

Re: Tough choice..
That is really tough!
On one hand, I'd want a second opinion just to be perfectly sure that it couldn't happen on our own... but on the other hand, I'd feel comfort in knowing that using DE would give me a baby probably sooner.
It's definitely not an easy decision!

Re: Tough choice..
I would go for the second opinion. It wouldn't waste that much time and at least you would have the peace of mind in knowing that you researched all available options.

Re: Tough choice..
Can you go for a 2nd opinion and also start looking into DE at the same time? I think I would want to talk to at least one other RE before moving on.

Re: Tough choice..
I think after 3 years it's time for you to have your baby. If you can afford DE, I say go for it!
