Totally TMI question...and a bit of a vent...
I am 37w4d and I had an internal yesterday.
I have the most annoying pain in my whooha today, and it almost feels like my cervix hurts. I'm assuming it's from the internal or maybe some kinda dialation going on, even though I've been closed at every internal that I've had so far. 
It is horrible, so uncomfortable. It is making it hard to move, hard to walk, and when the little girl I babysit for sits on my lap it makes it feel worse. And as if that isn't enough, I am so nauseus today. I feel like I'm 8 weeks pregnant all over again with the nausea.
This pregnancy business is rough towards the end. People who are not pregnant or who have never been pregnant have no idea!

 hope you're feeling better.
I had something similar yesterday. It felt similar to round ligament pain but it was long lasting and felt like it was inside, if you know what I mean. Not fun!

Could be your cervix shortening! That's the pain I get (except I'm only 27 weeks and not supposed to have that happen yet) - but my Dr. said that is supposed to start happening around your time - so I'd assume you'd feel the same pain!

probably starting to dilate. I never really felt too many contractions with Ds just felt that pain.
