took some time off
from LIF after my 1st failed IVF because I was a complete and utter mess. Well, now I'm back days before my 2nd IVF retrieval and bad news strikes again.
Dr. B wants to cancel my transfer because of my uterine lining. It was perfect on Monday, crap Wednesday and today it was the worst. I lost that three layer/stripe and it thinned out to about 7 mm.
He wants my eggs to have the prime environment so he wants to freeze them and do a FET cycle so we can concentrate on my lining.
I'm sooooo disappointed.

Im sorry about your cycle Don't let it get you down though. Dr. B is doing what is best for you. Did he try and thicken your lining with Viagra suppositories or estrace? You don't want those embies going in if they can't stick!!!So many people get pregnant with FETs. Just try and stay positive.

Re: took some time off
i agree with the PP. you dont want to transfer if the lining wont sustain a pregnancy. i know dr. b and he let me trigger on timed intercourse cycles with under an 8, and afterwards he always said it wasnt ideal. if yours is a 7 and not triple layered, hes only doing whatever he feels will be the best possible chance for a sticky BFP.
im sure it is super disappointing, but better to be safe than lose out on your best embies cause your lining couldn't sustain it.
im so sorry!!!!!!

Re: took some time off
On Monday my lining was pushing 11 and all of the sudden it went downhill.

I've been on viagra 2x a day. Krauppners just delivered some more on Wed. (I love that 30$ goes straight up my va jay jay.)
Usually at the last min, my lining will get thick so I've never really had a problem but at the same time we never saw that triple layer ever. I think now that Dr. B has seen that my uterine lining can attain such perfection he wants nothing but that.
I just really wasn't expecting this setback. I'm finding it so hard to keep going.

Re: took some time off
My first IVF was cancelled, b/c i O'd thru BCP, so i can understand your frustration. But like everyone here has said you do not want to "waste" a cycle.....Dr. B told me that his frozen cycles are comparable to fresh, statistic wise. I know its upsetting but know, you are doing the right thing and giving yourself the best possible chance, and in the end that's ALL that will matter.

Re: took some time off
the same exact thing happened to me! I was crying in his office when he told me. It is a giant disappointment, I know, but I would trust his opinion.
