Too late for glucose test???
My next appointment I will be 29 weeks. My doctor didn't say anything about glucose test yet. Is 30 weeks or later too late? I was pregnant last year also so would they not do another test?

Its usually done between 24-28 weeks. Plus some docs want you to fast. You might want to call. Just bc you were pregnant last year doesnt mean you wont have one. Your body can easily change from pregnancy to pregnancy

They would definitely do another test. Each pregnancy is different. 30 weeks is pretty late, but if you are having a problem with controlling your blood sugar, it's better to get treated than do nothing. How far away is your next appointment? If it's not for another week or two, I'd call the doctor's office and ask about the glucose tolerance test. They can probably send the paperwork over to the lab.

Just got mine at 32 weeks. I tried to getbthe drink Down twice. My doc is strict so she kept making me try. finally was able to keep it down a few days agoat 32 weeks. I passed. I felt it was easier to take it in the afternoon with a big straw.

You can take it anytime. They just try to catch it early enough to help you if necessary. I was given it every week at the end because my baby was big and they weredetermined I had GD. I was tested through week 37 and delivered at week 38. Never had GD.

My next appt. is in a couple of weeks and my doc said at that appt. we would be scheduling the glucose test so Im guessing i'll be sometime between 26 and 27 weeks when I get it done.

They would do another test. JMO, but I think your doctor forgot. Call and ask about having it done. 30 weeks is late, but not too late.
