Too Early? (kinda long)
DH is away all summer for work. We were going to start trying in Jan, but said screw it & decided to start now. We got to see each other this weekend for a visit, and thought no time like the present. My question is do you think we BD'd too early? My cycle started last Sunday 08/09. I am usually anywhere from 28-38 day cycle. We BD'd Sat 08/15 @ 5am, 11am, 6pm & Sun 08/16 @10am. We are not going to see each other again until Sept when DH comes home for good I just was wondering if anyone thinks we have a shot this month. I think it was too early for us, but am hoping there might be a chance. I haven't been on BC for four years, so I am hoping I am a fertile myrtle. Thanks in advance for opinions.

Re: Too Early? (kinda long)
I am a firm believer there is ALWAYS a chance since it's not uncommon to o early or later then normal. Sperm, for the most part, can live up to 5 days. I would say the chances are slimmer, but there is still a chance.

Re: Too Early? (kinda long)
From your info above, it seems that the earliest you would normally ovulate is on CD12 (if your shortest cycle is 28 days and say your LP is at the long end at 16 days). Being that you BD'd on CD7 and CD8, it could be possible, but you would have to have CM or even EWCM by now in order to sustain the sperm alive until ovulation.
Good luck this month and if it doesn't happen, then I hope next month is it for you!
