Too early for schedule at 10/11 weeks?

DD's schedule is still all over the place. The only thing that is consistent about her is that she doesn't nap for more than an hour and takes about 5-6 naps a day.

A sort of typical day looks like this:

6am: up for the day
7am: nap
8am: up, BF
9:30am: nap
10:30am: up, BF
12pm: nap
1:30pm: up, BF
3pm: nap
4:30pm: up, BF
6pm: nap
7:00pm: up, BF
8pm down for the night

So she is kind of on 1.5 hour cycles, but then occasionally she'll nap for 3 hours in the middle of the day.

Plus, she is waking EVERY night one hour after going down for the night, and I have to nurse her back to sleep. She's not hungry because she only nurses for a few minutes and dozes off, but she won't take a pacifier.

She is up again to eat at 12:30/1am, and again at 4:30am. I go back to work on Friday... I don't know how I am going to deal. DH can't feed her in the middle of the night because he gets up for work at 3:30am.

I am seriously considering giving her more formula during the day (I supplement with about 1 bottle a night now) so she gets more during the day, I think it might help her sleep better.

I don't even know where I am going with this... if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.

LB seems like a totally normal and good schedule for her age. I remember john went down to one feeding a night at about 14 weeks. Def supplement if that's what you fee you want to try!!! it def may help her sleep longer at night or drop a night feeding!!

I remember around 10-12 weeks is when I was literally at my worst!! I was tired cranky mild PPD as well...just when I felt like I couldn't take it anymore...John got easier...

I thought I was going nuts still at that point too and was FREAKING about going back to work because she was still so all over the place.

I went back when she was 14 weeks old and something just clicked between week 10-12 because she was completely on a night time routine and sleeping through the night by the time I went back .

thats pretty much what my son was doing at that time b/c it was shortly before i was going back to work.

even now he cat naps. sometimes he takes a good solid 1 1/2 hr nap during the day. otherwise, its just 30-40 min naps here and there.

he's 7mo now and will play a little bit longer inbetween naps and is sleeping through the nite from 8-5:30 am. so i cant complain too much.

I've been hearing a lot about how to get babies to STTN for 12 hours. I ordered the book and reading up on it.

I'd be happy with 8, we can't consistently get there, DS is in different moods on different days and his schedule is all over the place.

eta:
give the formula before bed, it stays in their tummies longer than BM. That is, if she is actually waking up for food... that's a tough one to decipher

at about 8 weeks i had my son on the every 3 hour feeding schedule- which set us up for EASY - eat, activity, sleep and you time

it was not exact each day but i knew what to expect next

alot of time my son would root at 1.5 hour mark but that was actually when he was tired and just need his pacifier to go to sleep

DD is 13 weeks and isnt on much of a"schedule" during the day, she eats, plays alittle, naps and repeats LOL. and she doesnt nap long, maybe 30-40 min TOPS...but she does STTN (from around 9PM-7AM)
DS was the same as my DD with the naps and STTN and he didnt start a really good day schedule till around 6-7 months, when he started doing one long AM nap and one long PM nap. So I think yours sounds fine
ETA: DD eats every 3 hours during the day, so I guess thats sort of a scheudle LOL

My DS is 9 weeks and no schedule here either. Sometimes he naps for an hour, sometimes 3. Sometimes he sleeps all morning and is up in the afternoon, sometimes the opposite. His nighttime sleep is pretty consistent though, he's up at 1 and 4 for feedings no matter what time he goes down. I'm hoping he'll drop a feeding soon, but I EBF so I'm not counting on it.

I keep reminding myself to hang in there, eventually he and I will STTN. Some days that is easier to remember than others.

Thanks everyone. The schedule during the day doesn't concern me all THAT much, because she'll be home with a nanny who will be able to adjust to her easily. But when she wakes, most of the time she is fussy, yet not hungry, and it takes her a bit to warm up. Add that to her difficulty going down for the night, plus waking up twice... I guess I am just concerned she isn't getting enough during the day, because I can't think of another explanation. I am not looking for her to STTN yet, I know not all babies do, and that's fine. But when she wakes at 4:30am to eat and is up for the day at 6am I want to

I feel like a broken record, but that wake up at 6 back down at 7 makes me think she is not ready to wake for the day. What I would try is either:
A-BF at 6 and put her back to bed
or B-formula feed at 4:30 and hope she sleeps longer

Hey LB!

What time are you going to be getting up for work?

For us, I BF Loey at 8:30 and various times during the night so I know that doesn't help. But I also used to wake up at 5:45 for work... now, I wake up at 5 and BF him and then put him in the swing and he would sleep until 8:00 for the first 3-ish months and now sleeps until 8:30. Could you try that? I BF from one side, then change his diaper, then BF from the other side... make sure he's asleep and transfer him to the swing. The days where he's not fully asleep... i turn the swing on and just leave him and get in the shower and he's ALWAYS sleeping by the time I get out of the shower.

Loey was basically on a 3 hour cycle at that age... during the day:

5 - BF
8 - up for the day, bottle
9:30 - nap
11 - wake up, bottle
12:30 - nap
2 - wake up, bottle
3:30 - nap
5 - BF
6:30 - nap
8 - BF
9ish - bedtime

I found with Adriano he seemed to get more into a pattern around 3 months.
