Tongue Tie
My DS was born 6 days ago and he has a tongue tie, we decided that we need to get it snipped due to feeding issues it is presenting, can anyone recommend an ENT in Nassau who they like that does this? Thanks!

Re: Tongue Tie
He's not an ENT but Dr. Scott Siegal in Melville is THE best on Long Island for ties.

We used Dr. Ditkoff in Great Neck. He was wonderful with DD. We had it done when she was almost 3m

Your ped should do it. Ours snipped DS' tongue when he was about 2 months old.

Re: Tongue Tie
Dr. mendelsohn at Garden City ENT snipped DS' tongue at 12 days old. We had a good experinece. It was quick and he encouraged me to nurse DS to help soothe him right after. We'd seen Dr. Medelsohn for my older DS for another issue.

Dr. Mendelssohn is great, otherwise Dr. Scott Siegel, who is an oral surgeon, like someone mention it before!

When laser revision is done, anesthesia is not used at any age. I think they just put a numbing cream on the area.

Re: Tongue Tie
We used dr ditkoff. He didn't pressure us into it and let us make our own decision. He was great and it literally took 3 seconds. I'm not really sure why anyone waits now lol.
