Tomorrow is October 1st....
and it is the start of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Ladies, I am urging you all to go for mammogram. Heck get a full check up and a mammogram. Yeah, you have busy lives, but don't put it off. Pick up the phone and call your dr TODAY!!!!

DO IT!!!! Im a mammographer.. and its really not as bad as you think!! With the new digital machines its only a squish for a couple of seconds!!

I have cancer in my family and I asked my Doc about this a few months ago and he said I didnt need one until I was 35 ..I am 30 , I still want to get one, after I have the baby, but how do you get one if your Doc wont let you?

You insist to him or her that you want one. They are your breasts not the doctors.

I had one last year at 37 1/2 years old, The Dr. told me i dont have to go till i'm 40 years old. I had it done in the summer before my 38th birthday. So next year i go for my mammo.

I would def call up your insurance co and ask about that.
Some dr say 35. Others say 40.
Sadly so many younger women are being diagnosed with the disease.

I would have a BIG problem with a Dr that didn't listen to concerns and decided whether or not he would "let me" be proactive about my health.
I'll go for my 1st mammo when i'm 30. I have a family hx of breast cancer and my Dr. didn't want me waiting until 35 or 40 (which is usually the standard if you have no family hx).
