Re: Tomorrow I start with the CBEFM.
This was my first cycke using it and I found it ALOT easier than using the regular ovulation kits. I have one ovary, so I had a very hard time figureing out when I ovulated. I thought I ovulated around day 20. It turns out that I ovulate around day 24/25.
It took a couple days to put the stick in the machine the right way but after a few days it was no problem. I used 20 sticks this month.
Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!!

Re: Tomorrow I start with the CBEFM.
Figure out when the best time to test will be. You'll need to use FMU. Pick a time to set the monitor, and you'll be able to test 3 hours before or after that time. So, if you wake up at 5:30 on weekdays and 10:00 on weekends, then you'd want to set it for maybe 8:00 am so you can test between 5:00 am and 11:00 am.
When you figure out the time - turn on your monitor at that time (between CD 1 and 5) and press the M button - hold it until it flashes whatever CD you are on.
For your first cycle, it will ask you to test on CD 6 and it will ask you to test every morning for either 10 or 20 days, depending on your body and what the monitor "thinks."
You should turn on your monitor when you get up (I keep mine and the sticks on the bathroom counter) and it will flash red and show the stick symbol if you need to test.
To test, you'll take one of the sticks and POAS with your FMU. Take off the little cap and hold it in your urine for 3 seconds (that's all you need, I promise!) then put the cap on the wet end.
Then hold it with the cut corner to the left side, facing down and insert it into the test slot (make sure it gets under the end piece, then click it down).
If you got it in right, it will flash test stick symbol for 5 minutes while it reads it. (I usually go into the shower right after and then check as soon as I come out).
Take the stick out FIRST, then it will show your reading.
1 bar = LOW = low fertility 2 bars = HIGH = high fertility (good time to BD every other day) 3 bars + egg symbol = PEAK. You'll O either the first or second peak day (likely the second).
The next day following your 2 peaks, you will automatically get a high day, since the egg can still be fertilized then.

Re: Tomorrow I start with the CBEFM.
Thank you so much for all the information. I have long cycles, so I guess I will be going through a lot of sticks.

Re: Tomorrow I start with the CBEFM.
Before I started IF treatment CBEFM was my savior! It was sooo much eaiser than using OPKs. TTC is hard enough. CBEFM makes it alot eaiser. I would leave it right by the alarm clock and as soon as the alarm clock would go off I would turn on the CBEFM.

I started this morning. So tomorrow morning at the same time, do I just turn it on and make sure it says day 3? Do I have to press anything other then the on/off button?

Re: Tomorrow I start with the CBEFM.
If you get AF at lets say 4pm on monday but plan to test at 9am everyday, on Tuesday at 9am do you count that as CD1?

Can you believe i forgot to turn it on this morning???
Yesterday I turned it on as soon as I got up, so I decided I was going to reset the time for when I left so I don't have to get up so early on the weekends. Well, naturally I was running late this morning and forgot until I got to work. At least I hope I can reset it tomorrow.
