Toddlers talking
When did your LOs start speaking in sentences? DD (almost 2) is full of words and is very good about expressing what she wants. She will put some words together, but she obviously doesn't understand to use certain words like in, on, the, etc. When does that usually start to happen?

Toddlers talking
My DS started between 2 and now at 2.5. He had been putting two words together before that and then jsut one day BAM - 3+ words and won't stop talking.

Re: Toddlers talking
My DD is two, and she uses sentences sometimes, and one word utterances at other times. She uses some prepositions (e.g., "I put in," "ball go under the table"), but she has pretty strong language skills.
Typically, I would expect a child to start combining words (e.g., more juice, mommy up) around 18 months, and to hear complete sentences with articles and prepositions around 2.5.

Toddlers talking
DS is 2.5 and is towards the tail end of the "normal" range for speech (he doesn't qualify for speech therapy). He just started combining two words to express his needs- "want more", "me peepee" ect. He's doing it in both english and spanish and literally this just all exploded the week after he turned 2.5.

If he is doing it in 2 languages we tend to think they are behind but they will be way ahead int he long run!!!!!
My nephew is the same. He is learning everything in English and Spanish and while he is slightly behind my DS (they are the same age)...he really isn't since he is learning 2 languages

Re: Toddlers talking
My son did this very young, 3 word sentences at like 18m or something crazy but I think 2 and up is more common, so long as she has a lot of words and expresses herself well it is fine, like anything else some do it earlier some later.

You're absolutely right. My DS worried me when at 2 he didn't say Mama and only had 10 or so words but the explosion happened at 2.5 followed by combinations a 2 weeks later. His little brain was just processing more at once I guess. Glad to hear your nephew is doing well with 2 languages!
