Toddler size 4 shoes - for about what age?
DS received a pair of Timberland boots in a toddler size 4 (he is 7 months today). I am thinking I should exchange them since it will probably be a long time before he can wear them, yes?
At about what age do you think a child would be wearing a size 4 toddler shoe?

idk Yesi, Logan never wore a 4. by the time he was ready for shoes, he was a 5W. now at 14mos he's 6.5w.

Yeah, you probably should return or exchange them until you're ready to put him in shoes. Not all kids are the same size, but when we got DS his first pair of shoes at 13 months, he was a 4 1/2.

about 1ish.
DD skipped that size she was a 3 when she was about 9 - 11months she was a 4 for like a month but then went to a 5 by the summer she had chubby feet and it was the summer don't know if that had something to do with it.

DS's first shoes were a 6.5W at 10 months. I would definitely return them.

Oh wow, ok, thanks everyone! Good thing I asked!
He will be 1 in March and that's kinda the end of Timberland boot wearing season, no point in keeping them.
Now, should I get him something for THIS winter or something for NEXT winter (that would be hard to predict size wise though I guess).

My DC were 3.5 at 17 months and then 5.5 at 19 months.
They are small though.

DS wore a 4W at about 11 months when he got his first walking shoes but was very quickly a bigger size.

DD has freakishly small feet....I say that she has newborn feet...at 18 months she is finally a size 4!

DS is a peanut. He didn't start walking until he was 15 months old. He wore a 4.5 XW at that point. The shoe salesman told me that the average shoe size for a 1 year old is a 5. I'd probably return the boots.

I would think pretty soon.
I believe it goes 1 = 0-3
2=3-6
3 = 6-9
4=9-12 and so on
DD is wearing 4.5 right now and she was just 9 months
