Toddler breakfast ideas
DS use to eat waffles, pancakes, toast but lately I can't get him to eat anything. Even cereal which is his favorite is a struggle. He look to drink all day then.
I have done the carnation instant breakfast & he loves it but I want a variety

Re: Toddler breakfast ideas
My son loves fruit so he gets a lot of it with breakfast, usually berries. Most days he will have cereal mixed with banana or an omelet. He LOVES omelets! I usually mix in cheese and ham. I also make French toast for him a lot. Sometimes he will have yogurt with breakfast.

Re: Toddler breakfast ideas
Does he like scrambled eggs? that's DS' favorite breakfast. He eats 2 eggs and buttered toast faster than I can.
He's not a huge fan of pancakes, but loves french toast.
I usually throw a yogurt in for fruit.

Re: Toddler breakfast ideas
We are no help! Loey eats 1/2 a banana, oatmeal with maple syrup & brown sugar, and a handful of blueberries EVERY DAY.
We sometimes do breakfast for lunch and he'll eat pancakes (buttermilk, chocolate chip, banana, blueberry - any of those), french toast sticks (just regular french toast cut into stick shape for more fun!), he's not so big on eggs, but I try to make him try scrambled, over-easy, omelets, frittata, etc.
Other things are bagel with cream cheese and jelly (or just one of those), he LOVES lox too!, cinnamon raisin toast with butter or jelly, mini muffins that I make... banana, blueberry, chocolate chip, corn, etc.
Greek yogurt mixed with honey and berries

He hates eggs & has been off yogurt for sometime. He has just become a very picky eater

Re: Toddler breakfast ideas
Don't feel badly, Logan is REALLY picky too - he doesn't like anything cold/slimy like fresh fruit, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. He just won't eat it.
He would eat nothing but carbs all day if you let him. I've resorted to giving him veggies and meat on PIZZA some days just to make sure he's getting some.

Re: Toddler breakfast ideas
Try making the same pancakes, toast, etc. but cut them into cute shapes. I bought a Mickey Mouse mold and my DD loves Mickey pancakes. You can get all kinds of cute little cutters in the store and use them to cut up the toast, sandwiches, french toast, pancakes, and so on.
Maybe try assembling fruit on a plate that looks cute, like a face or some other design. Also, try letting him pick out his own cereal in the store. Within reason of course, maybe you choose two and let him pick from that, this way he feels like he is making decisions for his own breakfast. Or maybe try making fruit smoothies with some yogurt and fresh fruit and then put it in a funky glass with a straw.
You can always try one of those kid friendly cookbooks for new breakfast ideas too!!

Re: Toddler breakfast ideas
My boys will not eat home made pancakes, waffles, french toast---they will only eat the frozen ones. Maybe try a different kind?
What about quesadillas with a bit of eggs in them? I sneak them in and that's the only way the kids will eat eggs.
G + H also eat a lot of fruit for breakfast and I do still give them yogurt sometimes.
Maybe muffins? I make zucchini/ carrot/ muffins.

Re: Toddler breakfast ideas
breakfast is boring in our house, its always yogurt, fruit, and cheerios (or if we happen to have scones, muffins, crepes, pancakes, etc )
occasionally we also eat lox (smoked salmon), DS loves it.
I personally have no appetite for breakfast, and its hard for me to even look at food early in the morning, but DH loves breakfast though, so he makes his own, and will give DS something on his plate, its usually dinner leftover though
I promise I do much better lunches and dinners. Breakfast is so not my thing.

Re: Toddler breakfast ideas
Thanks ladies. He loves his carbs. We do bagels & cream cheese for lunch most days. I will try to cut the pancakes into shapes. I only do frozen pancakes & waffle bc I have no time to do homemade
