Today is CD 12..and still no LH surge??
This is my first time using an OPK..and i've been testing since CD9. My average cycle lasts 26 days...sometimes 27-29 days.
This morning, I just could not wait another hour to pee so that may be the reason (peed after 3 hours instead of 4)
But I guess my real question is what day in the cycle is the LH surge usually detected?
Some factors: I left the OPK in the car overnight by accident...can the cold affect the results? I also tested at the slopes in the middle of snowboarding over the weekend. (yes i was snowboarding with the OPK in my jacket).
We did have sex last night though. Should I have sex tonight too or every other night is good? THANKS!!

It's really best to use OPKs in the afternoon...
If you're only doing it in the morning, you may not catch the beginning of your surge, so expect your +OPK to be a little later.
Also, since it's your first month with OPKs... you arent' sure of your luteal phase (time between O and AF) so we can't be sure of when you will ovulate yet.
The LH surge is individual. You might have a 26 day cycle and O on CD 12, while someone else might have a 26 day cycle and O on CD 15. It all depends on your LP.
I'd stick with every other night until your +OPK. Then that night, and the next 3 nights (for BDing).
