TMI ? re gyn appt

so i have my 1 year postpartum checkup since having DS (it was suppose to be in the summer but they couldn't give me an appt till tomorrow). The problem is AF is here. I called the place and they said still come in, the doctor will still see me. I am embarrassed though and def not to comfortable going in with AF. If i dont go tomorrow though they cant get me in till the begining of next year and i really cant wait that long. So am i making a big deal and should just suck it up and go?

I wouldn't go either. How can they not have an appt for 3 more months??

Personally, I think you're making a big deal of it. The GYN is a doctor- they've seen it ALL.

ETA: if you're that uncomfortable, I suppose you have no choice but to make the later appointment. Perhaps you could call each day to see if there are cancellations. I've done that with my dermatologist and have gotten much earlier appointments.....

thanks guys...i appreciate all your responses I called again and she said that they still want me to come in but prob wont do a pap (I guess they arent suppose to if you have your AF) but will check everything else out and then i will have to go back when AF is done for the Pap (hopefully within the next couple of weeks). If its going to be longer i will prob just look for another OB/GYN as i am not thrilled with the practice anyway.
