TMI question for those with boys
Have you ever seen something on your DS's, um, 'goods' that you weren't sure should be like that? And then did you go to check out DH's goods to compare?

To answer your question...hmmm, no...
I did however take DS out of his bath when he was first born and his "boys" retracted big time..I freaked a little b.c it scared the bajesus out of me.

Well, I never noticed that DS's opening is longer than I expected. Also, his boys do strange things in the cold. I guess I've never seen shrinkage in action, nor did I know he could happen at such a young age.

The old Seinfeld episode about shrinkage was on recently, and I laughed since I've seen this in action with DS. Thank God for that episode, I think that's where I learned about the phenomena.
Maybe ask your pediatrician if the opening seems normal next time you go? It probably is.

The shrinkage is normal in the cold.
The opening... I agree to ask the Ped at his next visit.
I think "they" all come in different size and shape AND.. openings.

i have to say i was washing the boys and i thought one of them lost there "balls" i freaked got my dh he looked and showed me one of the balls moved so he put it back in plac e for me
i didnt know they could hide!

The first time I saw shrinkage in action with DS, we had just brought him in and taken him out of his car seat. The belt sits kind of tight over that area, and I thought they were mashed.
When I asked DH to come and look at his sons testicles cause they looked squished, I never saw the man run so fast! He confirmed it was just shrinkage.

THis has me hysterical over here!
I remember the first time I saw the shrinkage with DS, DH was standing right next to me and I asked him if there was something wrong.
He acted so casual about it and said he must be cold!
It looks CRAZY... all tight like they are huddling together trying to get warm!!! Poor little balls!

My DH gets all embarassed and defensive when I ask him ball-related questions.
Once he said "I've only handled one pair, I'm not some kind of expert."
And he didn't understand why that made me laugh for an hour.

Uuuum, I can't look even look at the big Tripod one after I have spent a full day changing DS's diapers. It makes me laugh hysterically when I see a giant version after looking at the little one all day.
I was walking around at my son's bris saying, "I can't believe it looks like a real penis already."
That and the fact that I feel that the sonograms lied b/c DS looked a lot bigger in black and white!

Once I noticed a bulging area with my DS when he was small and it turned out he had a double hernia so anything strange I would definitely get checked out. But of course I let me DH check it out first to see if it seemed normal to him based on his familiarity level with the area in question.

My DS had some issues with adhesions, so he's been to see a pediatric urologist. I was so to see them handle my boys goods!
