TMI-Bleeding question
Ok, sorry if this is TMI.
Ok, so I know you bleed a lot and for a while after birth. At what point does the bleeding simmer down to a traditional "period like" flow? Also, when is it ok or when will I feel like wanting to use tampons again? Thanks!

With both of my sons, by the second day after giving birth, my bleeding was very light. I know everyone is different though.

For me, it was a week of bleeding but not that bad. You can't use tampons (vaginal birth) until 6 weeks after.

What about after a c-section? How long do you have to wait to use tampons again? My costco box underneath my sink is dying to know.

I think with both you have to use pads for 6 weeks.

I'm pretty sure you aren't suppose to use tampons until your next regular period. Using the tampons post partum puts you more at risk for developing blood clots.
