TMI???? - sorry

Okay I am pregnant with my third but I was induced with my first two so have no clue what it is like to go into labor on my own.

I am currently a little over 40 weeks and was being prepared to be induced in the next few days.

HOwever and here is the TMI - I just had blood mixed with a what I would consider a mucous consistency as I was peeing and in my underwear - is this the bloody show??? Should I be freaking out.
I dont have any cramps but I do have a dull almost period feeling low in my belly but that has been going on for a few days.
I had a doctors appointment yesterday and I was between 1-2 cm
My doctors office is closed right now

any information or advice would be greatly appreciated - I am home alone with my 3 year old and do not want to have this baby in my kitchen floor -LOL!!!!!!

It most like was the show. Labor is impending. With my 4th I started to loose in the am and that evening I went into labor and had him that night.

It sounds like your mucus plug. Since you're over 40 weeks you could obviously go into labor at anytime, but don't freak out right now. Losing your mucus plug doesn't mean you will go into immediate labor. Some women go into labor the same day and some women don't. I Would probably have someone on standby for you and your 3 year old just in case you need to get to the hospital though. Good luck!

I agree with this.

Don't freak out, but be ready. Good luck!

losing your mucus plug isn't like your water breaking. It doesn't mean labor is imminent and that you should find your way to the hospital.

Good Luck! Hope you don't have your baby on the kitchen floor!!!!

I had mine go & a week later I was induced with my 3rd.

Meanwhile, my water broke after my plug passed with my first a few hours later.

No reason to freak out. With both of my children I had a tiny bit of blood mixed in with CM when I peed. With my first, I went into labor a couple of hours later. With my second, I went into labor that night. Blood usually is a sign of your cervix softening and opening. This is probably the start of labor for you! Chat Icon

Agreed. I had this at about 39 weeks- still had to be induced at 40w3d. Good luck!!
