TMI - question, ingrown hair?

TMI - I was itching down there, so I got a mirror and took a look. I noticed what looked like a small raised dot - I was trying to figure out what it was - all of a sudden it burst and blood came out - should I call the doc? Was it just an ingrown hair? Could it be bad?

Sounds like an ingrown hair to me. I would have DH look at it and maybe squeeze it to see if a hair pops out. (I know, I'm gross and sadistic.)

ITA!

Usually if it's an ingrown, the hair will just fall out when you do that, otherwise... you don't need to tweeze it.

To prevent those, you should try exfoliating (with a soft-bristled brush, not a loofah!) and using PFB Vanish on there!

Try using alchol down there after each shower and after shaving....it will sting but I find that helps prevent ingrown hairs...

ouch! Sounds like an ingrown hair...I wouldn't shave down there for awhile and ask your doc how to prevent them further (then share with us!)
