TMI - Back Door Issues
I got a very large hemorrhoid (sorry TMI) on Saturday from a BM and nothing is helping...witch hazel or Prep H. I was crying going to the bathroom last night...the pain is unbearable. Will it go away on its own and how long does it take to get better?? Now I am worried this is going to happen every time I go to the bathroom. I called my DR this morning to find out what else I can do but haven't heard back yet.
My sister had this issue when she was pregnant and told me she had one lanced TWICE the week before she gave birth.
I am so scared about what's going to happen during / after labor!!
It's like the third trimester arrived and a $hitstorm of undesirable symptoms appeared at my door!!!
Is anyone else in this boat?

TMI - Back Door Issues
Try eating foods that will make the stool a bit softer giving your bum a chance to heal.

Re: TMI - Back Door Issues
I had this problem when I gave birth. They told me to do the sitz bath (not sure if I spelled that right), and the witch hazel pads, they also gave me colace. It eventually went away, but it was very painful for a while there. I hope you get some relief soon.

Re: TMI - Back Door Issues
Try prune juice for few days, stool softener (start with 3 a day and come down to 2 when u r regular) that should give your body to heal a bit .

Re: TMI - Back Door Issues
Yep. This is exactly what happened to me. During my third tri I developed a horrible hemorrhoid and unfortunately it gets worse after delivery My advice to you is eat a very high fiber food and dont be afraid to take stool softeners. I take one daily until my BM's regulate a bit then I give myself a week break and start up again when I see Im having trouble using the bathroom again. Unfortunately theres not much you can do to rid of the hemorrhoid except making your stool easier to come out and that in turn will keep the hemmoroid from getting irritated..so def. try colace
