Re: Tips for sciatica
Stretch!! I had bad sciatica with my first DC and I had to go to physical therapy. Also, sleep with a pillow between your knees, it will help. Feel better.

Re: Tips for sciatica
I was having severe sciatica issues weeks ago, I don't know if the baby switched positions since then or bc I did some stretching but it has gone away almost completely.
Here is a you tube video of stretches that helped me:

Tips for sciatica
if you can bring a stability ball to work and sit on it, MIRACLE. I had such bad sciatica I could hardly move without wanting to cry, I finally brought my stability ball to work and within an hour I felt almost normal. Stretching and stuff just aggravated it for me.

Tips for sciatica
My Doctor had me lay on the floor. Bend one leg and put the other leg over the bent one while kind of stretching. It definitely helped.

Re: Tips for sciatica
I second the stability ball - I sit on mine while playing with DS. Also, try to rotate your hips and stretch to see if you can get the baby to change positions. Mine comes and goes - it's a pain in the butt!

Re: Tips for sciatica
I've got it too. Good times, esp since I have an active toddler, too.
I see a chiropractor regularly, and it's helped. Accupuncture was also recommended, but it wasnt covered by my insurance. Other recommendations were to spend time sitting on a yoga ball (which I'm doing now). I thought this one was funny, but its also effective: sit on a tennis ball. Put the ball right under your butt or upper thigh, and do this for 5-10 mins. It hurts, but when you get up it feels better.

Re: Tips for sciatica
Mine has been on and off this week. Stretching helps me and limiting the amount of sitting I do helps too. If you get a chance to rest (haha) lay down on your side with a pillow between your legs. Feel better
