Re: Timing

With my son, I registered the day I find out he was a boy Chat Icon (a little before 20 weeks) I did the big stuff and slowly added things online and at the store. It's very overwhelming so try not to do it all in one day.

I was due in August and we starting working on the nursery that spring. We ordered the furniture around then too.

My shower was June 13th and I was due August 16th. Had him on August 1st Chat Icon

Re: Timing

I started my registry at 18w, and then went to the store after we found out the sex at 20w.

We ordered our furniture around 20w also.

We started the nursery around 28 weeks so we could paint and get stuff together before i got huge.

Shower was at 32 weeks.

Timing

I registered shortly after the Level II when I knew I was having a boy.

I don't remember when we started working on the nursery and/or ordered the furniture but it takes around 8 weeks to get the furniture delivered (Behr's).

My shower was at 35 weeks.

I registered at 23 weeks.

Nursery will begin in the next few weeks.

Bought the baby furniture at 20w (didn't need to be special ordered, was delivered in a few days)

My shower is at the end of August and I am due mid-October.

Re: Timing

Registered: 20w after we found out it was a Chat Icon (literally that same day)

Ordered furniture: 28w (last weekend). I have to set up a delivery date still.

Baby Shower: I'll be 34w

Ideally I'd like to have the nursery done by my shower but the latest I'd like is 37w.

I'm due 9/7

Timing

I am 21 weeks and just found out last week that I'm having a girl, so I am starting my registry this weekend.

We have been looking for baby furniture online and will probably jsut get a crib and dresser/changing table for now. We may not be able to do the nursery due to having too much stuff and not enough room in our little 2-bedroom house! The plan was to turn 2nd bedroom (currently the office) into the baby's room, turn the garage into the office, and take all the stuff from the garage and build a shed in the yard for storage... but we don't have the money to buy materials for the shed. So it looks like we will have to put Baby in the corner in our bedroom (insert Dirty dancing joke here) for the first 6 months or so until we can play the shuffle game and move her into the other bedroom.

Baby shower- I have no idea! I am being surprised. But my guess is sometime in Aug or Sept. and I'm due Nov 2nd

Re: Timing

My shower was at 32 or 33 weeks.

I registered at 30 weeks (because we weren't going to have a shower, and then all of a sudden we were, and that's when it was booked, only 2 weeks before it happened-- which was actually perfect)

I never ordered baby furniture, I just had the crib/changer on my registry... I don't want or have space for any other furniture.

Started setting up the baby's room after we got the crib (and that's actually all we've done in that room! We're not repainting, I just cleaned out the closet, floor, etc. & DH set up the crib)

I'm 22 weeks on Tuesday; we registered already and painted the nursery. Picking up the crib tmw; the rest is on our registry. Having my shower middle of August as I did not want to be too far and be uncomfortable. Good luck! :)

Re: Timing

We registered at 18wk4d after my partial anatomy scan.

We started working on the nursery at around 28wks. My dad painted the walls and today we had someone put in molding and chair rail and tomorrow we're getting the carpet installed. I'm just about 31 weeks.

We ordered furniture at 20wks.
