THURSDAY QOTD

GOOD MORNING!!!!!
Its a rainy Thursday and I can't wait for HAPPY HOUR

Lets talk pets!!
Do you have a pet? (What is it?)
Did you grow up with pets?
Will you allow your LO to have pets?

NOW: We have a shih tzu. I've had her since I was 15...she's a huge part of my family. (considering a turtle or snake at the moment)
THEN: Growing up I had birds, fish, a rabbit, a snake, a lizard, turtles, frogs, and a dog. (I drove my family crazy )
DH & I will most certainly allow our LO to have pets.
ETA: we'll always have a dog

We have a 2 year old shih tzu/dashaund mix, Achilles. Always had a dog or dogs and a cat growing up. We also had a goat, ferrets, fish, gunea pig, birds and turtle at one point or another.

That being said I'm not really into animals except dogs. Our LO's will have dogs, nothing else I cant stand gerbils or hampsters, reptiles, fish or birds (I know I sound horrible with that!). DH is campaigning for fish but I have no interest in cleaning or maintaining them and I know he wont do it.

I think having those different animals all at one point in my life turned me off on all of them. I hated it, I used to lock myself in my room when my parents let the ferrets run around.

I love my puppy though

We don't have pets, and DH is dying for one! I grew up in a household without pets so it's really no big deal to me.

When LO is a little older, I will probably give in and let them get a pet. (I am sure DH will stress how much LO wants one and how we should get one ). PS- he never had a pet growing up so go figure.

We currently have a 6 yr old bulldog Harley and a cat and have been tossing the idea around about adopting another dog...
I always had pets growing up and we are planning to have pets when there are children. I could not imagine not having at least a dog ( although i could do with out the constant sweeping of hair)

Didnt grow up with pets other than fish and a frog once...
Yes we will always have dogs... unless our kids are allergic

We have a fish - or, DS has a fish. At the sick suggestions of my FIL, he named him fish-sticks. Its like naming your cow Burger.

We had the sweetest cat, Tux, but DS as he got older became deathly allergic to him, so we had to rehome him . I still miss him.

We had a bird named O'Neill but he passed away.

Next up - guinea pig (i LOVE LOVE rodents)

Growing up, we had a Westie named Penny.

Now: We have 7 yr old dog & just adopted a pup.

Then: I grew up w/animals , countless dogs, cats, rodents & birds. DH had I think 2 dogs and 1 cat throughout his childhood.

We will always have dogs, unless our DC are allergic. I really have no desire to have any other type of animal....except a piggy

I would give anything to have one of these little guys..............
