Thoughts?? UPDATED

Another anonymous "regular" poster here...

I wasn't going to post, but thought, why not get everyone's opinions. Anyway, here goes...

According to mymonthycycles.com, I was fertile Dec 23rd through Dec 27th, and I ovulated either on Dec 25th or 26th. We BD'd on Dec 23rd and that's it with the holidays, etc. We are not actively TTC yet.

Starting the middle of last week, I had some early symptoms, but they were not necessarily "real" symptoms, they may have just been psycosomatic. This week, I have just been feeling tired, but again, it could be the first week back at work, etc.

Starting last night, and today, (TMI) I have had slight spotting. Nothing major-- but a little when I wipe, and a little bit found on my underwear. I have been feeling crampy, and gassy-- not out of the ordinary with stomach problems I have, etc. So, it's hard to distinguish between the two-- but, my lower bellly does not feel "right" and I have some sharp pains every now and then.

I have been off the pill a couple of months, and have not seen spotting since going off-- ironically, this is why I went off the pill-- lots and lots of spotting-- but has not happened since.

I am due to get my period next Tues-Wed, my period does not come like clockwork, but there is no way that the spotting I have now would be the beginning of it- it's too early.

I ordered some tests online-- and probably when I get them, it will be time to test.

Am I totally over-analyzing this?

UPDATE

So I took a test this morning.. a little on the early side, but I was tossing and turning and could not sleep so I went out and bought a test. I got a BFN, but I am not sure I did it correctly-- but, I will take it as a negative.

I am still spotting extremly dark brown blood. Now I am also feeling like I am getting a cold-- sore throat, head cold, etc and with this lack of sleep-- I am all over the place!

My period is "due" the middle of next week-- unless of course what I have now is the beginning of my period. I am trying to find that chart that has the prego test senstivity to see what the one I used was-- the ones I ordered in the mail are very sensitive and maybe I will try again in the morning.

That spotting could be from implantation. I hope you get the result you are looking for. I think it seems as if you can be pg!

wishing you LOTS of . we are on the same page. I think i O'd on 12/24 or 25 but we only BD once and are not "actively" trying yet (active to me is charting, temping and giving it your all). I just actively obsess Its hard not to overanalyze when you are hopeful - your symptoms sound promising. Make note of them so that if this isn't the month, you can compare next month... good luck

Does anyone know how long implantation bleeding is supposed to last for?

I am still spotting-- but, I really only spotted a little yesterday afternoon. Before that, it was VERY light and only when I wiped. It's very dark, not really red.

The other thing is-- my boobs aren't really sore, and I thought that was pretty much a tell tale sign. I had some sorrness last week-- now, they feel slightly tender-- but, not really any soreness. I feel like they might look larger/fuller-- but, again, I may be seeing things.

Anyway-- will probably test this weekend.

OK-- now, I am really confused.

I just went to the ladies room and the bleeding is a bit more now. It is definitely brown/pinkish-- not red. And I just looked up a bit to see what implantation bleeding should look like.

I really think it is too early to get my period-- although, who knows what my cycle is doing this month. If it is my period, that would mean I was on a 28 day cycle, which I only was on when on BCP. Since being off the pill, it's been my regular cycle (34 days) or longer.

I would say this is probably your period. But don't give up hope yet-could be implantation spotting, I havre heard of IS lasting 2-3 days or longer! GL

AF started that way for me last month too and and came 1-2 days earlier than usual . . .

I am thinking it is my period too-- but, I just went to the bathroom again and NOTHING!

Anyway-- I have decided whatever this may be-- it is a valid learning experience that has shown me and DH that we really are ready to try for a child this year.

I am going to see what transpires over the next day or so-- and see if I may even have to test just to see.

I had something similar last month -BUT AF was late not early and when she came it was brownish and very light. The night I woke up and NO discharge so I thought it was implantatiion (I was so hoping) however it came back later the next day and started out brownish again but by nighttime it increased in flow and changed to red so I knew it was AF. I had a chemical pregnancy (confirmed by my OBGYN) and had I not been TTC I probably would never had known. Not saying this is your situation as it could just be implantation.

The color of the blood and volume means alot so if it stays light and not red that is a promising sign.
