That was great..the hardest part for me is the smoking...I'm not a chain smoker, but definitely not a social one as well. I obviously am going to stop the second I know I'm pregnant, but I want to stop completely now, and its tough to just go cold turkey so I'm cutting down slowly...It's an awful habit and I hate myself for doing it!!

I was a smoker for years! I quit last year and it is still a challenge. I quit by every time I lit up thinking what it is doing to my body. I would imagine the damage it was doing to me. I am NOT telling you to do it my way, because I truly believe everyone is Unique when it comes to quitting. But once I did, I never felt better physically, and I smelled a lot better too!
Sorry I forgot to put the NOT in! I would never tell someone to do it my way

You will be amazed how motivated you will be by your little one..dh smoked a pack a day, and when I told him I am pregnant he quit cold turkey..its been over 2 months and hes doing very well...whenever a smoker passes by us he tells me how disgusted he is by what he used to do

Thanks! I def agree with thinking about what I'm doing to my body...especially thinking this could be totally messing up a very viable egg that can turn into a baby!!! So that's been a huge motivator for me!!! The hardest thing is that DH is a smoker, and I told him that he MUST not smoke around me, and totally doesn't anymore, because him smoking around me will make it that much harder for me to quit, but I'm getting there slowly...We are actively trying ,and this past month was our first month and I'm doing EVERYTHING I can to make this happen, so quitting smoking is obviously my TOP priority
