Those with Pets??
Do you think that they know something is different about you?
for the past few weeks Murphy snuggles up to me when we go to sleep and last night watching tv he rested his head on my belly (not that Im showing yet, Im only 9 weeks).
Do you think he could hear the baby's heartbeat, I know dogs have super-sensitive hearing. I wonder how sensitive it is???

Dogs will notice a different scent on you and know something is going on. My dogs have been a bit sweeter and love to sniff me

i second the dogs smelling it....they do have a very sensitive sense of scent. my dog is constantly at me....not so pleasant!!!

My dog definitly knew when i was pregnant with my DD. When i was near the end of my pregnancy i would walk around my backyard, and he would be right there beside the every step.

i absolutely agree that dogs know something is going on!!! my black lab puppy, 6 mos old, had been clinging to my hip since i was about 8 weeks along. i am now 25w and he jsut will not leave me alone! he sleeps with his head right on my belly and dh and i joke that he likes getting kicked by the baby! i know i 'smell' different, hes always stealing my clothes and sleeping on them! so cute!

I have 3 cats and before I even knew I was preggo with my DD, they were acting so different, they would sleep by my belly sometimes on top of it and sniff it a lot too so I knew something was up!

My mom's cat always rubs up against my legs normally but when I was pregnant she was practically following me around the house.

I read up on that, i was curious. It said that animals can smell your breast milk, something i never thought about.

I love my dog dearly, but she's not the sharpest tool in the shed. She hasn't seemed to notice anything different, maybe she will as I get further along.

I have 2 german shepherds and the really mushy one was acting different since before I knew I was pg. Just following me everywhere, being even more affectionate and not leaving my side. I can't even brush my teeth without her laying at my feet. I can tell she senses something is different!

My dog didn't. He still used my stomach as a spring board!!!
But other dogs!!! WOAH - they would come up to me and permanantly plant their nose on my belly
