Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
I got the second camera.
Overnight I keep the channel on the baby's room - but when I wake up in the middle of the night I switch to see my older son.

Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
We have 2 monitors. Neither of them are video, just the sound. So when we put the kids to bed, we have 2 monitors on and can hear them both.
ETA: They each must have their own frequency because they don't interfere with each other and they are the same model/brand.

Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
I have the 2nd video camera and right now, when Colin is actually in his room, I leave it on him. But, when Ryan goes into a bed I think I'll have it on him. I have an audio monitor too that I plan to use in whoever's room I'm not switched on to once Colin is really in his crib (right now he does his first stretch in the crib and then ends up back in my bed or the co sleeper in my bedroom).

Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
Well, I don't have a video monitor. But we do have the Angelcare that we still use for DD (the motion-detection is turned off at this point so it's only audio obviously). I plan on using that monitor for baby and buying a regular audio monitor for DD1.

Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
I didn't want to have to choose which room to leave it on, since sometimes DD still gets up, esp since she is in a bed and almost fully potty trained, so we got another video monitor. I didn't even think of interference.

Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
DD will be 2.5 when DS is born and I am not planning on using the monitor. Actually we don't use it now. DD is gated into to her room and her door is open. So if she's awake, I know it, because she gets out of bed.

This is what we did.

Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
We got this and loved it..bec we borrowed a monitor and didnt work with our monitor's frequencies!
But we love this one...it oscillates between the two rooms every 30 sec (I think..could be shorter like 15 min. I forget we set it up and 13 months ago and haven't touched them since!) It is as quiet as a mouse and we keep one down in the living room and one up in our br for nighttime...you can hear them breathe it is so sensitive! Def rec it!

Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
I have two video monitors...best investment I could have done (I went on amazon and found a vendor that was having a sale....got it for 100!)...I couldn't live without hearing both all night....I should add, we can't hear them that well unless they are screaming, so we def need them!

Re: those with 2 kids- monitors
I have to full video monitor sets because I didn't want to keep switching back and forth on one.
