those who will or have taken their own holiday pics...
can you please post your pics and share what props you used and how you made it look "holiday-ish"
I would love to have a photographer take some for us but we have decided I am taking the rest of the school year off from work and we don't want to spend the money. I have an SLR so I am hoping to take some good pics myself.
I probably will not have the Christmas tree up in time, but I DO have an old fashion looking sled that my parents bought for us last year.

If you are near the Holtsville Ecology Center, they decorate it amazing!!!! Let me see if I have any pics.
This is what I did his first year at home.
Here was his second Christmas at the Ecology center: (I was just hapy to get something where he wasn't climbing off the bench.)

Last year, I wrapped a big box and took it against our white gate in the driveway. I hung their stockings on the gate too. I didn't end up using it since I couldn't get a good smile from DD and DS in one pic

Here are some more to get your ideas flowing:
I did get a few where the ornament wasn't blurry. I had to put something in the tree that interested him. (A Tap light and a tennis ball) Everytime he went to grab them out, I shot. But I had a regular digital camera at that time, so getting good shots was even harder.)
Last year at the Ecology Center (This one is blurry, but you get the idea!)
And after the Gators won the National Championship, we sent out an additional card.

I just put him in his Christmas sweater, and brought a Christmas-y penguin to the beach! Image Attachment(s):

When I had just one DS, I put him in his sled in the back yard. We threw snow up in the air and it looked like it was snowing. It was really cute. (Obviously it hasn't snowed yet, so you can't use this, but maybe the sled idea.)
