Those trying for #2 and on
How did you know you were ready for #2? Did you find it easier or harder once #2 (or more) was born?
I had a lot of problems during my pregnancy and after and kept always saying I only wanted one. Now I am thinking, maybe we should start trying for another one but I'm not 100%. DH wants another one.

Re: Those trying for #2 and on
I wasn't 100% ready until DS turned 2(this April). It finally just clicked with me that I would love to give him a sibling.
DH was ready after DS turned one but there was no way in he!! I was ready. I was (and still am) pretty overwhelmed, but I finally can entertain the fact of having another. If you ask me I'm not 100% ready for baby 2, but who is ever ready??

Re: Those trying for #2 and on
We are in the same boat. DS turned 2 in May and I'm still on the fence. I know for sure we want one more but I don't know whether or not we should start trying now, or wait one more year. My DH who initially just figured they would be 2 years apart is now also questioning just like me. Go for it now and they will be 3-3/12 years apart or wait 1 more year till he is 3 then start trying. I also have no idea if I will feel more ready next year or not. I know for sure last year was not it for us.

I was ready soon after. I had my DS at 38 so I knew there wasn't much time to wait but here I am 41 and still waiting.
So while I want 2 I may only be blessed with one.

I wasn't 100% ready until just recently. I don't know what changed honestly. This is out first month trying.

Re: Those trying for #2 and on
DD just turned one and I wanted to originally start trying now, then pushed it back to when she would be 16 mos. DH wanted to stick to our original plan because we didn't know how long it would take. Well, I got pregnant the first month trying so, knock on wood, if all goes well, they will be 20 mos apart.
I too am overwhelmed but we aren't young, 36 with DD, 37 with the next one, and we wanted them close in age. A potential third is a question mark, we'll see how two goes, but that was a factor for us too. I think sometimes you just have to jump in and have faith it will all work out.

We planned to have them close in age and it worked out they are best friends and go and do everything together even share friends. they are 22 months apart. i think if you want another go for it and bring your sense of humor with you a little will go a long way
