Those that moved into a house.....
that someone lived in....did you hire a cleaning service to do a good cleaning before you moved in??
If so...who do you recommend for a one time cleaning.

Actually our sellers hired a cleaning service to do a "surface clean" to the place prior to our final walk thru.
To be honest, it was hardly what I would call clean, so we did a really big cleaning and scrubbed everything down ourselves the day of closing. I'm very picky about how clean things are, so I didnt want to trust anyone else besides myself and our family to get it as clean as I wanted it.

We had the same experience as the pp. The owner hired a cleaning service but I still felt the need to do my own cleaning, especially in the bathroom (we only have 1 in the entire house  ).

I cleaned myself...
We also had someone fix, sand and paint the walls and we took all carpets up and did the floors. After that, it was mostly getting the dust cleaned up, and scrubbing the bathroom and kitchen, tile floors.

Me, my mom and my mother in law cleaned like crazy in the kitchen and the bathrooms. We had the floors redone and walls painted in all of the other rooms between closing and moving in. I just had a flashback to the fridge...

We cleaned it ourselves but a lot ofit was brand new, it was an estate sale that they fixed up.
