This may be the stupidest question in the world but....
When the baby is born and in the hospital with you, does the hospital put the baby in their onesies or do we need to bring them? Obviously, I know we have to bring the coming home outfit, but I wasn't sure about the two days or so that we're there until we go home.

Not a stupid question at all! I didn't know this either (nor did I even think about it). Yes, the hospital dresses the baby in their onesie, the little hat and they swaddle them in their blankets. I did bring extra onesies though with me and dressed my little guy in them on the second day.

You may also want tp bring little socks and the little mittens so that your baby doesn't scratch his/her face and an extra blanket. I gave birth towards the end of the summer so the AC was blasting in the hospital and it was so cold. When he was in the room with me I would cover him with the blanket (half-way) in the bassinet.

Thanks girls! As my EDD is getting closer and closer, I'm starting to feel like I know less and less on what to do!

The hospital puts a generic onesie on them (actually I think my hospital put the side snap ones without the ****** part on them). They're like a random larger size too haha.
Just know if you bring your own cute onesie, you might not get it back after they take baby to the nursery. They change them there and the onesies get dropped into the laundry bin. So I'd just bring the take home outfit since you will be putting that on right before you leave.
Same for hats! I wouldn't put your own hat on baby until you're leaving - or at least don't let them take baby out of the room with your hat so you don't lose it.

I also recommend bringing newborn sized diapers! NSUH put DD (who was 5.5 pounds at birth) in size 1 diapers. I didn't even realize how huge they really were until my sister came to visit and was like..."Yeah, buy smaller diapers for this poor child!" Maybe other hospitals use smaller diapers, or maybe I could've asked, but I think the nurses could see how small she was. And as pp stated, they put the baby in a side snap undershirt (not a onesie, at least not at NSUH two years ago). I didn't even think of changing her until the day we left. I'm definitely bringin baby socks this time. Her little feet seemed so cold even after being swaddled 90% of the time.
