'Bobby's' dad arrested again for DWI

Robert Palange, the Bellport man who ran over his son Bobby in the driveway of his house in 2005, was arrested early Friday morning for driving while intoxicated, Suffolk police said.
Palange already has three convictions for driving while intoxicated, so his 1991 Lincoln was confiscated by the police in accordance with Suffolk County's DWI seizure law, police said.
Suffolk Officer Michael Bogliole, of the Sixth Squad, saw the Lincoln weaving and failing to maintain its traffic lane on Boyle Road in Selden at 12:20 a.m. Friday.
The officer stopped the car and saw that the driver, Palange, showed signs of intoxication, and when he failed a field sobriety test he was arrested, police said. Palange was taken to the Sixth Precinct where he also failed a breath test, the police said.
In February 2005 Palange was backing his 2001 Dodge Durango in his driveway when he accidentally ran over his then 2-year-old son, Robert Jr., seriously injuring him. Police called it a "tragic accident" and there were no charges brought forward.
Palanges was charged Friday with felony driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and faces arraignment the same day at First District Court in Central Islip.

He already has 3 DWI convictions and he still has a license? What the h*ll is wrong with the justice system? This guy should have been off the roads a long time ago. Hopefully, this time, jail will take care of that.

Was he drunk when he ran his kid over, or was that an accident?
Not like it really matters though he obviosly has a problem and needs some serious jail time.
