This is why people dont share the possible names....
I tell my good friend that we are thinking of using Logan and she tells me that Logan is a dogs name!!!!!
Now I cant get it out of my head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 people are annoying. I don't even agree that it is a dog's name! I have never met a dog logan but know plenty of kids named Logan. Just ignore her!

Don't let it bother you. People use people names for dogs all the time. In fact, I know people who currently have dogs named Mike, Jake, Jimmy, Danny and Luke. They are using people names for dogs, not the other waybaround! I love Logan!!

Don't worry about whether or not people like the name you choose. You will always have people who like it and people who hate it. The important thing is how you feel about it. Any name could be given to a pet. I told a few people the names DH and I were thinking about and some had comments like that too. From now on, I'm keeping it to myself.

My DS is Logan.
When I told people I was leaning towards that name I got all kinds of comments.
An uncle told me the name was stupid, a co-worker said it sounded like a gay guys name and some asked why I would name my kid after an airport.
In the end I chose to ignore all of them and go with what DH and I agreed upon.

People should really learn how to keep their comments to themselves . FTR I would never ever associate Logan with a dog's name, so I am not sure wehre that person got that from.

People have all kinds of associations with name.
I love the name Max and have been told the same thing. I don't care, I would use it if my DH would come around (but, 3 pregnancies later and I don't think he is budging).
People said a ton of stuff about the name Owen. Still, my son is named Owen.
I don't really blame people for having a reaction to a name. Shake it off!

I don't think Logan is a "dog's" name but, I do have a friend whose dog is named Logan.
I also have friends whose kids are named Logan.

We picked out names and the names we choose are very old. DH and I said that we were not going to tell anyone what names we chose. BUT he has a big mouth and tells EVERYONE. People either love or hate the names we chose. But, it is not their child, so they do not get to choose. People don't always know how hurtful it can be when they comment on the names you choose.

I hate people. That is so rude to say to someone. I had a friend who named her son the weirdest name (IMO) and I would never tell that to her!! Her DH and her LOVE the name!
If you don't have anything nice to say to a PG woman... don't say anything at all.
