Personally, I am not any more concerned about this than any other flu. Unfortunately, many people die from the flu (I think 30,000 each year). Its sad, but most healthy people that get the flu recover. The swine flu is an unfamiliar strain, but it doesn't seem to be any more dangerous than any other strain of the flu.

wow!!!! horrible!!! prayers will be said tonight for the family!!! we can't live in fear but i have started carrying the antibacterial gel with me and in my car!!!!

So far, all the deaths from H1N1 that I've read about were people with other health issues. They aren't even positive if it was the flu that killed some of them. It might have been their underlying problem that killed them, and they just happened to have the flu as well.

Of course, I want to avoid getting the flu, but I am definitely not panicking about it. It's much less severe than the flu virus that was all over the country just a few months ago, and I never heard anyone panic about that.

I feel panicked even though I try to rationalize with myself. It's scary.

I just don't ever remember these many things killing people a few years back. Like meningitis, MRSA, swine flu, etc. It's so creepy!

I heard the story last night and admit I definitley am a bit more worried.
Im not going to panic, because, like mentioned above, most of these cases the patients had underlying problems.
Im going to definitley do even more handwashing and sanitizing. I think its all you can do.

My prayers go out to the families.

It's mainly because of the media. They are making everyone panicked. This swine flu is milder than the annual flu that goes around, and is killing much less people than the annual flu viruses. This particular swine flu is also milder than many of the previous swine flu epidemics over the years.
