This is a first!!

Alex has been getting REALLY spoiled lately, so we had to re-employ CIO a few days ago. Two days later and Alex slept from 7pm-5:30am! Chat Icon Just two days ago she was waking every 2 hours! The longest stretch of sleep my little spoiled girl has given me is 7-8 hours. I CANNOT BELIEVE she slept over 10 hours straight! Chat Icon

Now, will someone PLEASE sleep train me?! I can't stop waking up every 2 hours! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

It will get better. I was the same way in the beginning when Miranda started sleeping 10-12 hour stretches but now I go to bed around 10:30 or so and wake up a little before her most of the time around 6.

Chat Icon Congrats on the sleep. I was the same as you- getting up all night- but it only took a few days to get over that.

Re: This is a first!!

Congrats! I am debating if I should try this with my 4 month old. I have alot of mixed feelings about it so I have been holding off on utilizing CIO but I am so missing my unbroken sleep.

I'm a big proponent for doing what works for YOU. Fortunately, my daughter adapted VERY well to CIO, crying for, at most, 20 minutes, at medium intensity. She seems to do MUCH better being placed in her crib awake, to go to sleep on her own, rather than being rocked to sleep (she starts squirming and refuses to fall asleep in my arms!). It's my fault that she starts getting into bad sleep habits, because I I miss rocking her to sleep, but the more I do it, the worse she sleeps. But, other babies don't adapt so well to CIO - some hyperventilate, some vomit, some cry endlessly. I'd say, do what works best for you and your baby... experiment and adapt Chat Icon
