This cycle - frustrating!!
I just wanted to share what I've experienced this month in case there are others out there with similar and frustrating situations!
I got pregnant after 3 mos of trying in February using OPKs (got a positive on CD18 - for 3 days - 12 days later got positive test). Unfortunately, that ended in a MC and I had a D&C on March 21st but tried to stay positive and thought OPKs were the best thing in the world!
I had to take a cycle off but I tested anyway to make sure I was ovulating after the procedure and got a positive OPK on CD 16 and was happy to know I was ovulating.
Due to the anxiety and stress that the MC brought me and a deeper sense of yearning to have a baby I bought CBEFM to double monitor for my first month trying (this month) and I also used OPKs.
I got a positive OPK on CD 6 and 7 - but CBEFM was still "low" so I figured these were false readings (especially since they were so early bc my cycle is usually 34 days) Me and DH
on CD 7 and CD 8 just in case that was a correct reading (but I figured it wasn't).
Then, I got another positive OPK on CD 18. DH and I for 3 days around then - this was last Saturday but again I wasn't sure about this reading bc I only got the smiley ONCE and never again and had NO other symptoms - and CBEFM was still only "high".
Then, on Wednesday I had cramping and spotting (CD 22) - At first I thought I was getting my period early (and then thought the +OPKs from days 6 and 7 were right). I was talking to my hair dresser about it and she said that she always spotted during O so maybe that was it - I googled it and yes I guess this is common especially after a MC - CBEFM was at this point "high" (since CD 8) but it never got to peak ever and has now stopped me from even testing until next cycle bc it went back to low on CD 24.
Me and DH Weds (first day of spotting) Thurs Fri Sat hoping that the spotting Weds into Thurs was O; I also had cramping. I was hopeful for implantation bleeding but it would be way too late for that to be happening from CD 6 and 7 and way too early for CD 18. I am still using the OPKS and have gotten the new "flashing smiley" which means "high fertility" this whole week - but no solid smiley which means no peak but then today I had heavy CM so I'm like "Am I ovulating today???"
I know is a little confusing but basically I never peaked with CBEFM - only high from CD 7-24 then went to low now doesn't take sticks. I had positive OPKs on CD 6, 7, 18 and now "high" readings this whole week with random spotting Weds into Thurs which I still haven't figured out now CM today!
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! no idea what's going on!
anyway I'm ordering a big bowl of pasta and enjoying it with a glass of wine tonight! Thanks to anyone who read this long post

Re: This cycle - frustrating!!
It is so frustrating month after month I know. Hopefully you did surge and you caught it. I use OPKs I have the monitor from my friend but never reprogrammed it to me. I go to an RE so I figure why bother. Taking this cycle off myself so I will test on my own. Hang in there. If you don't get pregnant this month see how next month goes and if the same thing happens you may want to consider an RE if you haven't already. I am by far no expert but maybe you have PCOS? I hear from other ladies who have it have had similar stories. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your response! I wonder myself about PCOS. I googled the symptoms and I have no others so hopefully not!
