Think DD hit her head on crib

I woke up at 7 to DD wailing. It's a far cry (no pun intended) from how she usually gets up--cooing and smiling. I looked at the monitor and saw her laying perpendicular to the front crib slots with her head against 2 slots. I assume she rolled over--into the slots. I soothed her and she seemed fine. But I felt awful. Without bumpers, there is no way to prevent this from happening again, right? My former bosses sons always had bruises from banging their heads on the crib. Would breathable bumpers soften the blow at all?

i would assume they would. We have breathable bumpers on the crib and they are just like regular ones; may not be has thick but should be thick enough to soften the blow.

the breathable bumpers are so thin I don't think it would help for bumps at all.
If it makes you feel any better my DS bangs his head at least 5x per night and he is OK.
