Falling and hitting head inside the crib

Is there anything you can do to keep this from happening? The boys love to stand in their cribs, but sometimes they forget they are standing, let go and fall and hit their heads hard on the wood.

Hunter's forehead has a ton of bruises.
Georgie fell this morning and split open his forehead. (Of course, it was 5 minutes after I took off his helmet. ) I feel so bad seeing them get hurt.

We have wonder bumpers on DS' crib and we love them. They go on each individual rail. They protect him from getting hurt as they have good padding. Our crib has wide rails and they fit great! Pricey but very worth it in my opinion. We got them online, TRU i think bc we had a coupon at the time. We got lucky in that they complement the colors is DS' room perfectly.
