Things to do in NYC with kids
Thinking of taking my 5 y/o DD into the city one day this coming week. I've already looked into shows but they're way too expensive. What museums would be good for that age? Any other ideas?
We've already done American Girl, Central Park, Rockefeller Center and the Natural History Museum.
Thanks!

Things to do in NYC with kids
I just took my 7yo to the MET today. He enjoyed it b/c they have a kid's map and we made a scavenger hunt out of it.
If it's a nice day, Chelsea Piers (as mentioned above). There are different things to do (one pier has mini-golf and a playground). I also liked Highline, but it's just walking for a mile so I'm not sure if it'll be interesting to your child.

Take her for a manicure at milk and cookies spa. She will LOVE it. http://milkandcookieskidsspa.com/
Then do brunch at Alice's tea cup.
Then take her to Dylan's candy bar
Perfect day!

Re: Things to do in NYC with kids
Unrelated, but this is down the street from my old office. It took a while to open so all we (my co-workers and I) could see was "Milk and Cookies" etched into the windows. We were SO excited that a cookie place was going to open.
Anyway, it finally opened and two of my (male, 30something) coworkers stopped in to pick up cookies for everyone. Needless to say, they left empty handed. And were beyond mortified. It was basically a running joke among all the UES hospital employees (EVERYONE was excited for these damn cookies)- who names a business "milk and cookies" and sells neither milk nor cookies???

It's actually really cute. It's called milk and cookies spa. It's for kids. The manicures, pedicures and facials are all chocolate and cookie flavor based. At the end you sit at the "bar" and they serve milk either regular, chocolate or strawberry and give cookies.
Funny story tho lol
