I have no problem with it and personally I feel that you should have said something through a FM. There's no need to call someone out about their name unless the name itself is offensive.

I honestly dont think kimchee meant any harm or any offense by posting this.,
she's really a thoughtful and kind perosn (yes, in MY opinion), but I just think everyone overreacted here..

I can safely say for a fact that kimchee is a very thoughtful and kind person because I know her personally.
Like me, she is a computer professional which usually comes along with a critical eye for such things. Add that she is a web designer and developer (and a damn good one at that) and she notices these things.
I've never heard a mean spirited or nasty thing out of her mouth. You can't get tone from people a lot of times, especially when they keep their posts short. I'm sure she didn't mean to offend or upset everyone.
She didn't ask anyone to change anything, she was merely stating a fact. If you don't add any emotion to her words, she really said nothing wrong.
The long names do shift the columns on my monitor too, making some of them smaller to compensate for the larger name column. So it may depend on your monitor size, screen resolution, etc.
Can you be kind enough to give her the benefit of the doubt to assume she was not being insulting, and in turn not be insulting to her back?
Sometimes things are not what they seem. 
Edited to add:
I didn't realize this post was from last night. I didn't want to rehash - I just wanted to offer a different point of view and defend my friend because she is a nice person who deserves it.

she made an obersvation. did she make one rude comment or even reply back to this post after all this petty nonsense?
For anyone that replied that doesnt truly know her for what a wonderful person she is, you misinterpreted the tone (or made a tone of your own).
