I took today off because I had my dad staying with us for 10 days and I knew I'd be exhausted.
Coffee, laundry, and catching up on This is Us is my Monday plan. Maybe scoring some Cyber Monday deals too.

Ordered my holiday cards yesterday from Shutterfly.
40% off, and 4% back from Ebates.
Couldn't get free shipping because I only order 30.
I've really shortened my card list, after 2 years of watching who sends and who doesn't.
Forgot to add that I got the holiday gifts for my friend's grandsons. Thank you Home Goods for opening in Bayside, although I would rather have Barnes & Noble back.

After a week of both DC being sick, and either missing school, or having to get picked up from school, they actually managed to stay in school all day yesterday....

I stopped for gas today and I usually pump my own but it was just too cold! I felt bad for the attendant so I gave him my disposable hand warmers (work is so cold so I keep a bunch in my bag to hold onto)
He was so grateful ;)

Did everyone see this story yesterday? A group of workers in the valley stream best buy chipped in and bought a wii for a kid that comes in every day to play the one on display in the store. Makes me tear up every time I think of it.
In my sister's town in CO, someone bought all the Christmas trees at the town lot and lined them up at the school for anyone in need that couldn't afford one.

Going there I was nervous. Kids were talking and I was like nobody can talk now 
Going home I felt better.

13yo DS is officially taller than me now...
We started using a level, since he was really close for a while, but the bubble is definitely on his side now.
