The movie "300"
I just read that its been #1 in the box office for the past 2 weeks. I had no desire to see this movie until i read that. Anyone see it? What did you think?
DH and I are trying to decide between that and Zodiac...

my DH saw it and he said it was really good and gory...he wants to see it again...he's going with my friends husband...needless to say we are going to have a girls night out when they go

My son's Sensei (Karate teacher) said the movie was AMAZING...but SUCH a "guy movie".

my midwife called it 'war porn' before we saw it (lots and lots of battle scenes.)
i personally loved it. it is gory and braveheartish in a way, but i really like the Frank Miller stylized visual effect and the acting.

The critics hate it yet oddly enough, on IMDB, viewers are giving it high ratings.
Did you see Sin City? Visually, the movie is similarly stunning. Critics hated it because they felt that character development was sacrificed for visual effects.
I saw it today and I liked it a lot more than I thought that I would.

yeah guy flick...lots of "b o o b ies" as my DH said
i wouldn't say its a guy flick for that... there were less then 4 scences that i remember (that involved sex and boobs)and if i were to remember the movie, i would remember the fight and visual effects of the movie
overall, great movie. the story line wasn't the best but it was good and the story moved right along. i just wished i can see what happened when they ended it.

I had no desire to see it until I saw the making of it on HBO. It looks pretty cool. they shot it in a studio in 30 days and it took a year to edit it and do the graphics. Im hoping to see it next weekend.
