i had a similar experience - i went 3 days after it opened.
i posted a longer review before, but basically, our server was amazing. the bartenders were AWFUL. i didn't like the cheese fondues, but the meat/seafood and dessert fondues were VERY good.
i am going back on the 15th, and i am going to try different cheese fondues.
i am also going to refuse he salad. i HATE that you have to order it - IMO, it should be extra so you can choose whether or not to get it.

Re: The Melting Pot
I went in CA... the food was good (not great) but be warned that it takes a LONG time. We tried going before a movie, not knowing how long it would take, and we ended up late to the movie!

Re: The Melting Pot
We went the night it opened. The food was really good, although the part where you cook the meat yourself was really weird and I wouldnt do that again. Service was pretty slow too. But overall, we had a really nice time.

Re: The Melting Pot
We went the weekend is opened. LOVED IT!
We always get the one that comes with cheese, salad and meat, and print a coupon for the free chocolate. It's pricy but worth it. Looking forward to going back with my friends!

I just went to Toast today!! Melting Pot sounds like it would be good, but I'm not liking the reviews on here.

Re: The Melting Pot
We moved before the one opened in NY, but we went to one in NC and it was great! It's no more than we usually spend eatting out, but we left full! We got one of the packages for 2, cheese fondu salad meats (shrimp, pork, chicken, fillet, beef, lobstertail) veggies & potatoes chocolate fondue
Down here the service was great. It took us about 2 hours to eat everything, but we liked that you are not rushed, you just eat and cook, chat and relax. I just wish I could have enjoyed a few drinks with my DH!
